Reviva Revisited - New and Improved Night Cream! #RevivaLabs

Press Sample.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

A little over two years ago, I got a chance to try Reviva's earlier incarnation of this cream-with-the-long-name.  Now, it's back, and better!

If you want to take care of your skin, you have to moisturize it.  Even though I'm (sigh) old (sigh) now, I still have oily skin, so getting a good moisturizing night cream that isn't going to break me out is a challenge in and of itself.  That's one thing the original Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester & DMAE Cream did well, and the new version does even better.  The texture is pillowy-soft, light as a feather, and it just melts effortlessly into my skin.  There's no fragrance, no residue, no pilling, no rubbing, no greasiness.  It's actually a pleasure to use, which is actually a big hurdle for me to use skincare.  No matter how good it is for me - if it's hard to use, or smells bad, or feels yucky on my skin, it's going to be a challenge to incorporate it into my skincare routine.
The old formula was an expertly blended melange of great skincare ingredients: Alpha Lipoic Acid, an antioxidant for fighting free radicals, Vitamin C Ester, another antioxidant that helps with skin tone and radiance, and DMAE, the 'facelift in a jar' that tightens and firms the skin. The new version incorporates all that, and adds another powerful anti-aging ingredient:  palmitoyl tri-peptide5, known for keeping collagen from breaking down in the skin, and helping build collagen up.
I've been out of commission for about a week now with some kind of cold.  (I am the worst sick person ever, by the way - just whiny, and snotty, and miserable!)  I haven't been wearing makeup, but, this cream is keeping my face looking pretty good!  I'm not getting the usual sallowness that comes with being sick, and I'm not breaking out like I usually do.  My skin is surprisingly soft, though I am having to do triple duty on the lip balm to keep my lips from drying out and falling off.  I don't know about you, but when my skincare can handle the stress better than I can, that's a product worth keeping around!

I love Reviva's floral-themed labels.  This funky french with flowers uses Glitter Gal Chuck A Wobbly as the base, and Tart Yourself Up for the tip.  The flowers are made with a mix of Sinful Colors Poisonberry and Snow Me White.
I recommend Reviva Labs to anyone looking for science-driven, natural, reasonably priced skincare that is also cruelty-free.  If you'd like more information or to purchase, please check out their Facebook page, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube, or their website, where Reviva Labs Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester & DMAE Cream retails for $23.

What's your favorite anti-aging skincare ingredient?
