Fight the 12 Signs of Aging with Science #StriVectin

Press Sample.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

I review a lot of different kinds of skincare, from drugstore, to Amazon, to high-end.  There are great products at every level, for every skintype.  Some luxury products are worth it because of how they make you feel, and some are worth it for the results they give you.

Discovering Niacinamide was like the skies opening up and hearing the angels singing.  My skin loves this stuff.  It never feels or looks better than when I'm using it - and StriVectin's skincare line has their patented version of it - NIA114.  Their Multi-Action Restorative Cream has it, and also their new Pro-12 Youth Optimizing Complex, which targets the 12 visible signs of aging.

For me and my oily skin, aging has made it difficult to find a cream that is nourishing without being so rich it causes breakouts.  Oily skin still needs moisture, and it needs balance.  Many anti-aging treatments I've tried are so focused on aging skin as only being dry.  This cream is more than that!
Ok, it's a jar.  We all know how I feel about jars.  The texture of this cream really does fit with the jar packaging better than a pump.  StriVectin could start including a spatula with their jars, though, to help avoid contamination.  I do like the inner protective cap design, though.

The cream itself feels almost like a gel/creme hybrid.  It's not whipped, but it is light, and yet, it's dense - almost bouncy.  I only need to gently swipe my finger across the top to get enough product for my whole face.  It just melts in, effortlessly.  There's no fragrance, either.  Why is it that so many anti-aging creams have that 'old-lady' smell?  What is that? I don't want to look OR smell old, thankyouverymuch.

Because it doesn't contain SPF, this has become my favored night cream - especially since most 'night creams' are too heavy and rich.  This absorbs quickly enough that I could easily wear makeup over it, and when I use it at night, it doesn't get all over my pillow.

Does it work? For me, it does.  I'm turning 44 next week, and people tell me I look the same as I did in high school! Not that I totally believe them, but it's nice to hear! My skin is nourished, radiant, plump, and pretty much free from wrinkles.  I don't have to worry about breaking out when I use this, which is pretty amazing.

A little white with pink stripe nailart, inspired by the StriVectin packaging! Striping tape helps me get such clean lines.  The white base is a hybrid of different white polishes, and I forgot to note what color the hot pink was.  Oops.
The only double-edged sword for me with the StriVectin line is that I end up sharing it with Mr. LitFromWithin.  He's a no-nonsense kind of guy, and the science behind this product line appeals to him.  It's unscented, so he doesn't smell like beauty products, either.  Of course, I like that he's taking care of his skin, but after he absconded with my last StriVectin moisturizer, I'm wary of him getting attached to this one, too!

For more information, or to purchase, you can find StriVectin on FaceBook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, or their webpage, where the StriVectin Multi-Action Restorative Cream currently retails for $95.
