Naturally Charming Eyes #ButterLondon

Press Sample.  All opinions are my own.
Hello, Fireflies!

No matter how many neutral eyeshadow palettes I own, I can't seem to get enough.  And when it is neutral with a pop of color, well, that makes me weak in the knees!  The new Butter London Shadow Clutch is so versatile, I can slide in my fave neutral shades, and then use their duos to add in some fun colors! Then, I can change out the colors and create a whole new look.

I've been a fan of Butter London polishes for years, and they just continue to impress me with their cosmetics.  Even the packaging is thoughtful and elegant, from the box and bow to the subtle print on the Shadow Clutch itself.

The Natural Charm palette comes with a dual-sided brush and six buttery-soft, primer-infused, oil-absorbing shadows.  I used them both with and without primer and they performed beautifully either way - blending smoothly, with true colors and no creasing!

I love that the palette comes with three perfect mattes - an ivory highlight, a tan transition shade, and a dark crease shade, which could make a perfect matte neutral eye on their own, or be the base on which to add more color.

Butter London also sent two Wardrobe Duos, and I picked up the Ulta Exclusive Duo (Ruby & Topaz) as a GWP.  I love the duochrome Plume, with its brown base and blue shimmer.  The metallic goodness of Topaz is amazing!

Right away, I satisfied my OCD by taking the palette apart and putting all the mattes in the top row.  Ah, much better.  The frame pops open from the sides near the front, and then the shadows slide in and out on a track.  Notice how that gorgeous Plume shadow made its way into the redesigned palette...

While the little boxes work okay for storing the extra shadows, I want Butter London to come out with a storage container for me to store the extras all together.  The pan shape is unique so that it fits on the track, and I don't think it would work in a Z-palette or similar magnetic palette.

The first look I created was a very soft, subtle neutral eye.  I was going for just a little more than a no-makeup makeup look.

I couldn't resist a pop of color on the lips, though.  That's Butter London's Lippie Tinted Balm in Black Cherry.  It's my first time trying their balms.  I love that it has decent pigmentation, and it wears just like a balm - not very long-lasting, but pretty moisturizing.

I wanted to also create a more bold eye.  I used Ruby on the lid and crease and layered Plume over it.  I used Linen as a highlight, Citrine as a transition, and Topaz in the inner corner.

I didn't do a good job capturing the duochrome shift of Plume, but you can maybe kinda see the blue flash in this picture.  I can't always pull off a reddish eye without looking like I've been crying, but layering the brown/blue Plume over Ruby brightened it up.

I really like this Shadow Clutch! It has the three basic matte neutrals, lots of great shimmers and metallics, and I can add in pops of red, green, or blue with the Wardrobe Duos.  I've already re-arranged the palette again to include the blues for the next look.

There's also a Pretty Proper Shadow Clutch with rosy neutrals, and Wardrobe Duos in purple and matte black/golden sheen.   I want them all!

For more information, or to purchase, you can find Butter London on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube, and on their website, where the Shadow Clutch palettes retail for $39, and the Wardrobe Duos retail for $15 each.
