I've Been Carded! #DesiredDiva

Hello, Fireflies!

When I first became interested in African Black Soap, it was mostly for my husband's eczema-prone skin.  Now, he's lucky if he can pry it out of my hands!  I've used it in liquid form, bars, gel, and today I want to share with you this unique facial cleanser from Desired Diva.

It seems that much of my skincare journey these days is spent trying to find a balance between the needs of my aging skin, and the symptoms of my oily, blemish-prone skin.  I need products that help my skin feeling fresh and tight, but they can't be so rich as to make me break out.  I've Been Carded didn't exactly make me get carded (oh, how I long for those days, right?) but it does a great job of deep cleansing and moisturizing!
Desired Diva African Black Soap Treatment ingredients
African Black Soap is rich with antioxidants that neutralize skin-aging free radicals.  It also has Vitamins C and E, which promote collagen production and heal and soothe the skin.  I find it to be a very effective, deep cleanser for my oily skin.  If I leave it on for a few minutes in the shower, I can actually feel my skin tightening! Shea Butter is the most skin-nourishing moisturizer I've come across, and it gives this treatment it's density and richness.

Did I mention how dense this cleanser is?

A little ball is all I really need to cleanse my face.  I usually break it down in my hands a little first.  The initial smell isn't all that appealing to me.. I'm not sure what it is.  But, after a moment, I can smell the coffee, which is nice.  The coffee not only acts as an exfoliant, but caffeine is also known to tighten the skin.
I wanted to express my inner Diva on my nails today! I used Lilypad Lacquer Love, Not Hate, a black with holo glitters, as my base color, and did a rounded French tip with Maybelline Bold Gold on my fingers.  I used a white polish to create the outline of the Desired Diva logo...as best as I could!
For more information, or to purchase, you can find Desired Diva on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube, and on their website, where this Black Soap Cleanser retails for $15.90.

Have you used African Black Soap before?
